Getting started on your housing application

All students are eligible for on-campus housing. The housing application will ask you questions about yourself and your living and dining preferences to help determine your best fit for on-campus housing.

Applications for Fall 2018 residents will become available at 2 p.m. Pacific Time Feb. 1, 2018.

4. Find a Roommate

Fill out the Roommate Questionnaire

The day after you submit your housing application,  you will receive an email with a login invitation to the My College Roomie online roommate matching system. Filling out the My College Roomie questionnaire will help you find someone in our online roommate matching system if you want to choose your own roommate, and will help our staff match you if you do not choose your own roommate.

Make sure you understand how gender identity affects roommate matching.

Return to My College Roomie throughout the spring to search for potential roommates for next year. Make sure they are eligible for the same communities you are. If you wish to live in a triple or a quad room, you can select more than one roommate. See more roommate matching tips.

If you have a friend you already know you would like to live with, you both must fill out the My College Roomie questionnaire and then select each other.

If you wish to select your own roommate, you must submit your roommate selection through MyUHDS by May 15, 2018.
