All students are eligible for on-campus housing. The housing application will ask you questions about yourself and your living and dining preferences to help determine your best fit for on-campus housing.
What type of student are you?
Oregon State students (including students enrolled in the Degree Partnership Program and Educational Opportunities Program) who intend to take winter or spring term classes may apply to live on campus. Enrolled students whose classes are primarily delivered remotely may still live on campus.
Students who have majors in the College of Business are required to live in College of Business communities. Business students who would like to live outside these communities or with a non-Business roommate can contact us for more information.

What room types or bathroom styles are you looking for? Explore your options.
Be aware that some options, such as single rooms, have very limited availability.
Every effort will be made to accommodate one of your housing selections; however room assignments are contingent on current room availability in residence halls.
Winter term 2021: the housing application to live on campus starting winter term 2021 opens October 15, 2020 (2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time) and closes Dec. 31, 2020.
Spring term 2021: the housing application to live on campus starting spring term 2021 opens January 25, 2021 (2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time) and closes March 25, 2021.
Your application is also your contract; make sure you understand the application before you complete it.
In the application, you will be able to select a dining plan and indicate your top three preferences for on-campus communities.
Apply by Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at 12 p.m. for winter term housing and by Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 12 p.m. for spring term housing.
Before you can receive a room assignment, you must be registered for classes, or registered for a START orientation session.
If you wish to live with a specific Oregon State student, you may fill out a form in MyUHDS requesting that student as a roommate. All roommate matches must be completely mutual to be valid, and that student must also agree to the roommate pairing. Filling out the form does not guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.
If you do not request a specific roommate, UHDS staff will use the information you provided in your housing application to pair you with a roommate.
Make sure you understand how gender identity affects roommate matching.
Students must complete all items in Steps 1-4 before they can receive a room assignment.
Room assignments will be sent to your Oregon State email address.
