Getting started on your housing application

All students are eligible for on-campus housing. The housing application will as you questions about yourself and your living and dining preferences to help determine your best fit for on-campus housing.

  • Applications for Winter Term 2017 residents are currently open.
  • Applications for Fall 2018 residents will become available at 2 p.m. Pacific Time Feb. 1, 2018.

Steps for Incoming Fall 2018 Students

  • Complete and submit your application for admission to Oregon State.

  • Once you have been admitted (including students enrolled in the OSU Degree Partnership Program and Educational Opportunities Program) you'll receive an ONID account to serve as your university e-mail address.

  • To activate your online account, select Sign up for ONID and follow the directions to activate your account.

  • The housing application will be available Feb. 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

  • Apply through the MyUHDS web portal. Don't delay! The earlier you submit your application, the more choice you will have in your living environment.

  • Select your preferences for building, dining plan, and roommates. You may return to your application between Feb. 1, 2018 and May 1, 2018, to make changes to your preferences. Making changes will not affect your original submission date.

  • Complete your application by May 1, 2018.

  • By May 1, 2018 you must pay your Advance Tuition Deposit committing to Oregon State

  • Before June, you must register for a summer START orientation session

  • International students do not pay the ATD but must submit the Acceptance Form provided in their offer letter to confirm their intent to enroll.

  • Students must complete all items in Step 3 before they can receive a room assignment

  • Room assignments will begin in June 2018 for students who completed their application by May 1, 2018
