It is the purpose of the RHA Councils to represent the members of the RHA in addressing their concerns and issues related to their residential experience, to coordinate or sponsor activities relevant to the residence halls, and to recognize members’ outstanding actions of leadership, scholarship, and service. The RHA shall also be a vehicle of communication and representation between its members and other student organizations, Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU), UHDS, the Division of Student Affairs, and other offices of the university.

The OSU Residence Hall Association is lead by 6 executive officers elected annually in the Spring, and supported by advisors from UHDS. The executive team determines the overall direction and goals of RHA, advocates for residents, supports the Area Councils, manages finances, hosts events, plans conferences, and much more!

Area Councils are a subset of the Residence Hall Association. More information about Area Councils can be found here. A chart of the RHA structure can be found here.
