Single-Gender Wings and Floors

Oregon State offers some single-gender wing or floors in certain residence halls. In these communities, students who identify as men and students who identify as women can live on a floor or wing with others who have the same gender identity.

Buxton Hall Women in Science and Engineering wing

The fifth floor of Buxton Hall is home to a Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) wing, an opportunity for women in science to gain coaching and mentorship specific to their program.

Buxton Hall Single-Gender Suites

Buxton has single-gender suites that are available to students requesting a religious exemption. Residents of these suites agree to no visitors of the opposite gender and a substance-free environment.

Sackett Hall Single-Gender floors in A wing and H wing

All students are eligible to live in Sackett Hall. Students who are admitted to the Honors College receive priority for placement in Sackett.

McNary Hall Single-Gender wing

The third floor, east wing, is a community for students who identify as women.
