Restroom Types

Community Restroom

A community restroom is a multi-user restroom that is shared by multiple residents in a hall. Community restrooms include multiple sinks in an open area, multiple individual toilet stalls and multiple individual shower stalls.

Private Restroom

A private restroom is a restroom attached to one bedroom. Only residents of the attached room have access to the private restroom. Residents with private restrooms are responsible for cleaning the restrooms themselves.

Semi-Private Restroom

A semi-private restroom is a restroom that is shared between two or more bedrooms. It is adjacent to the bedrooms and used only by the residents of that suite. Depending on the residence hall room configuration, usually 4-6 people share a semi-private restroom. Residents who have a semi-private restroom are responsible for cleaning it themselves.

Single-User Restroom

A single-user restroom is a private lockable restroom containing a sink, a toilet and a shower. Any hall resident may access a single-user restroom, but they are used by just one resident at a time.
