McNary is community-style so it's easy to meet people, and we're in an amazing location. We're walking distance from local restaurants, cafes, and the farmer's market, we're connected to a dining hall and a service center, and we're right across the street from the largest park on campus.

McNary Hall beds may be bunked or lofted with a UHDS rental loft kit.
McNary Hall triple rooms come with two beds already bunked and one bed already lofted.
Kitchens
- McNary Hall has a full kitchen on the first floor that's available for residents to use 24/7.
- It has a full-size refrigerator, freezer, cooktop, microwave and oven.
- Check with the hall staff to see what amenities are available at the desk, which might include additional cooking equipment or games.
- In addition, each floor has a shared microwave for resident use.
Lounges
- McNary Hall has a large lounge on the first floor with games, couches, study space and cable television.
- In addition, there are multiple other study spaces throughout the building and a classroom on the first floor.
- Lounges are available to residents 24/7.
Floor Plans
Laundry Room
Laundry in Oregon State University residence halls is free for residents; no coins or cards are required.
- The McNary Hall laundry room is located on the ground floor along the east hallway.
- Residents should bring their own laundry soap and other supplies.
- Liquid detergent is preferred.
- Laundry pods must be placed in the washer itself.
- Use the Campus CleanPay app to monitor laundry status. (App set-up instructions are posted on site.)
Trash and Recycling
Each resident's room has a bin for trash and a bin for recycling. When the room bins are full, residents need to empty them in the building's trash and recycling areas.
- Bottles, cans and paper: recycle these items inside, in the gray metal recycling bins in the lobby area, to the left of the single-user restroom.
- Corrugated cardboard: recycle cardboard outside, in the cardboard bin on the north side of the building along the Jefferson Way sidewalk.
- Trash: empty your trash can outside, in the dumpster on the north side of the building along the Jefferson Way sidewalk.

East side neighborhood
The east side neighborhood features four residence halls: Callahan, McNary, Tebeau and Wilson. Nearby dining options include McNary Dining Center and Java II in the Valley Library. Residents in this neighborhood can enjoy a pick-up game of flag football or a quiet picnic lunch in McNary Field. The Valley Library is located in the northwest corner of this neighborhood, offering easy access to research materials, printing services and quiet areas to study.
For close-by recreation options, McAlexander Fieldhouse offers indoor courts, a turf field, and a climbing wall. The Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts (PRAx), hosts concerts, performances and exhibitions from local and international artists.

Special Interest Communities
McNary is not home to any special interest or living-learning communities. All Oregon State students are eligible to live in McNary Hall.
Hall Staff
Professional Staff: Each hall has a professional staff member, who lives on campus, supervises student staff members, and is available to meet with students one-on-one for guidance and support.
Student Staff: A team of student staff members lives in McNary Hall to assist residents.
