Reasons to live on campus

Current students save $1,200

Get a $1,200/year ($400/term) rebate off your room rate, and up to a 20% discount on food on campus.

 

Amenities included.

Rates include laundry, internet, utilities, cleaning for community restrooms and common areas, free streaming for Pac-12 sports, movies and TV, and eligibility for on-campus food delivery.

 

One bill in one place.

Living on campus means only one bill, and no required deposits, security fees, or credit checks.

 
Safety and Security.

Professional staff reside in all buildings, and buildings are locked 24/7 for student safety. UHDS staff are there to help students manage the stress of college life.

Expanded dining plan options.

Current OSU students have an additional dining plan option for 2021-22. Dining plan 5 is a smaller plan available only to current OSU students; it may be a good fit for students wishing to cook more of their own meals, or who expect to begin the year with a large rollover balance. See the details below.

 

Flexible contracts with no subleasing worries.

Students moving out for OSU-sponsored or affiliated academic opportunities can cancel their UHDS contract with no penalty.

 

Communities just for second-year and above students.

Returning students get first pick of rooms on campus and have access to wings, floors and entire buildings set aside for second-year and above students.

Community options

Apartments, Rooms and Suites

Second-year and above students are eligible for apartment-style options that aren't available to first-year students. If you would like to live in an on-campus community outside of the halls listed below, email UHDS for individual assistance.

Select your own space.

Students who apply by the priority housing deadline (April 5, 2021), can select their own on-campus space and can select roommates and suitemates of any gender identity.

Contract Details

Housing locations

Second-year and above students have first pick of rooms on campus and may live in any hall; however, most choose to live in one of our second-year and above communities. If you would like to live in a room outside of one of these communities, email UHDS for individual assistance.

 

Contract & contract fee

After applying for housing, students must sign a 2021-22 Room & Dining contract before they can select a room. The contract will be available for students to sign beginning April 6, 2021.

An $50 contract fee will be charged to your student account after you select or are assigned a room. The $50 fee will be assessed in conjunction with fall term housing charges and will appear on the University bill that is issued in September.

The deadline to cancel your contract with no cancellation fee is May 15, 2021.

Discount details 

$1,200 room rate discount is available only to current OSU students.

Transfers from other institutions and new students are not eligible for returning resident discount.

Discount will be applied to student accounts once per academic term in the amount of $400.

If a student moves out of the halls mid-term/year and breaks their contract this discount is forfeited.

 

Dining Plan 5

Dining Plan 5 is a new plan available only to current OSU students who are applying to live on campus beginning in Fall 2021. Dining Plan is $2,100/year ($700/term). In addition to the smaller plan, students living on campus continue to receive a 20 percent discount on dining center meals, and can continue to spend any rollover balance they remaining from previous years.
