Substance-Free Special Interest Community

Substance-Free housing is a special interest community that hosts students who will be expected to abstain from alcohol (regardless of age) and other illegal or illicit drug use, or be under the influence of them, when in the community. This expectation extends to visitors and guests of this floor. This limited-size community will review and sign an additional addendum to the housing contract that will further outline expectations for the residents. This group-living arrangement will serve as a safe space for students choosing not to participate in or be impacted by substances in their immediate community. Students who want support in their recovery journey should reach out to the Joan and Tom Skoro Collegiate Recovery Program to explore membership.

Please see an example of the substance-free environment agreement addendum.
