Pride Special Interest Community

The Pride Community is a residential space for all students wanting to live in a gender-inclusive environment and having a strong interest in the LGBTQIA+ experience. This is a community where students can connect with others in an inclusive and supportive space that centers the experiences of LGBTQIA+ students and advocates.

Goals of the Pride Community

  • Building community and networks for students who are interested in the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Connecting students to campus resources and skill-building opportunities.
  • Providing health and wellness education.

 

Facilities

  • Located in Wilson Hall
  • Gender-inclusive living space; students may select a roommate of any gender identity. Learn more about roommate matching.
  • Single-user restrooms and all-user multi-stall restrooms on the floor

Staff

All students living in Wilson Hall will have access to hall staff focused on their community development and well-being. In addition to the hall staff, there is a dedicated Pride Community Peer Mentor that focuses on connecting students to OSU resources, events and engagement that centers on the LGBTQIA+ experience.

 

Partners

The community is a partnership between University Housing & Dining Services, the Pride Center, and Counseling and Psychological Services.
