Halsell Hall

Halsell Hall is dedicated to sophomores and above, and offers apartment-style suites.

  • Each suite includes a kitchenette and living room in addition to bedrooms and private bathrooms.
  • Halsell is located on the south side of campus, near Reser Stadium, Gill Coliseum, and Dixon Recreation Center.

Tebeau Hall, first and second floors

Tebeau Hall is Oregon State University's newest residence hall, opened in Fall 2015.

  • It offers three-bedroom suites that share a private bathroom, plus a small kitchenette.
  • Tebeau is located on the east side of campus, close to the Valley Library, and houses a branch Student Health Services office on the first floor.

Cauthorn Hall, first floor

Beginning in Fall 2017, Cauthorn Hall's first floor will be dedicated to sophomores and above.

  • Cauthorn offers traditional double rooms as well as economy triples, the most economical living option on campus.
  • Cauthorn is on the west side of campus, near to many academic buildings, the Memorial Union, and Dixon Recreation Center.

Hawley & Buxton Halls, first floor

The entire first floor of Hawley & Buxton halls is a community dedicated to sophomore and above engineering students.

  • Newly remodeled in 2017, the floor features an updated kitchen, new bathrooms, and other amenities.
  • Take advantage of in-hall programs aimed at sophomore engineering students, such as assistance in applying to Pro School.

Sackett Hall, B wing

For 2017, a community of returning students who wish to live in Sackett will be grouped together in B wing.

  • Sackett Hall rooms offer unique features like walk-in closets and a sleeping porch, allowing separation between the living area and the sleeping area.
  • Sackett is located on the west side of campus, near the LiNC classroom building and many other academic buildings.

McNary Hall, 2d floor east wing

Returning students looking for a health or science cohort can join the community of sophomore and above students in McNary Hall.

  • Preference is given to returning students who are part of the Health & Well-Being LLC
  • McNary is located on the east side of campus, adjacent to McNary Dining Center, which has several restaurants that stay open until midnight most days of the week.

Other Halls

Sophomore and above students receive first choice of housing location and can live in any residence hall on campus.

  • Students who wish to live in halls without a sophomore and above community can contact our housing staff for room placement.
