La Calle now open

Looking for a tasty meal at midnight?

Starting this fall, residents of Beaver Nation now have a late-night option at McNary Dining Center: La Calle, a late-night taqueria serving authentic street tacos and other Latin-inspired meals.

La Calle, pronounced "La Kai-Yay," means "the street" in Spanish, and its menu is inspired by Latin street food--the street tacos come with warm, soft corn tortillas; fillings like beef barbacoa, pork carnitas, pollo a la parilla, and chorizo tofu; fresh produce; and served with lime wedges and speciality salsas. The menu also includes custom-made burritos, taco salads, and taco bowls made with rice and beans.

The new restaurant will be open 7:30-midnight, along with two other restaurants in McNary Dining Center: Raintree Coffee Co., a coffee shop serving Starbucks coffee and housemade pastries; and MainSqueeze, a convenience store and smoothie shop.

La Calle is the only restaurant on campus serving meals past 10 p.m., giving students a place to gather for healthy food and late-night study sessions. It's open Sunday-Thursday nights, closed Fridays and Saturdays.

Guests can check food.oregonstate.edu for current hours and updates for La Calle and other campus dining locations.
