University Housing & Dining Services provides on-campus accommodations for both domestic and international students. Occasionally our international students would prefer to gain a more holistic American experience. Therefore the OSU Homestay Program works to partner community hosts with incoming international students, in an effort to assist in their extra-curricular learning experiences while here in the United States.
International students interested in signing up for the OSU Homestay Program must first be an admitted OSU or INTO OSU student. INTO OSU students once admitted, will be contacted by INTO OSU representatives to provide options for homestay opportunities. Other international students once admitted to OSU must fill out the online Homestay Application and they will then be contacted by the Homestay Program Coordinator to discuss homestay options.
The OSU Homestay Program is administered through University Housing & Dining Services (UHDS) and is intended to give international students a more in-depth cultural experience than they might have living in a traditional residence hall. As a host you will be providing an amazing living-learning opportunity for an international student. Whether four weeks or fifty-two, homestays provide fantastic cultural-immersion opportunities in which international students will have experiences unique to the United States, Oregon, Corvallis, and even your family. While you are a homestay host, you can rely on UHDS for support in making this the Experience of a Lifetime for both you and the student you are hosting.
