Finley has a shared kitchen on the ground floor that includes a full-size refrigerator, freezer, oven, stovetop, microwave, and sink. Residents have access to the kitchen 24/7. Cooking equipment can be checked out from the front desk. In addition, each floor has a shared microwave available for resident use.
Finley hall has a large main lounge on the ground floor with cable TV, study areas, and couches. In addition, each floor has smaller lounges where students can gather to study or socialize. All lounges are available for resident use 24/7.
Adventure Living-Learning Community: The Adventure LLC, a partnership with the Adventure Leadership Institute, allows residents to gain leadership skills while exploring Oregon's varied landscapes. By attending a variety of courses and programs including adventure trips, skill workshops, and social gatherings, students develop lifelong leadership qualities in combination with environmental ethics and outdoor skills. The Adventure LLC is open to students from any major and is located on the second floor.
ROTC Floor: Students who participate in the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) have the opportunity to live with other ROTC students who adhere to the same rigorous schedule. The ROTC Community is located on the seventh floor of Finley Hall.
The resident director is a professional staff member who lives in Finley Hall and supervises the student staff members. Contact the resident director for help transitioning to college life, room changes and roommate issues, guidance and support.
The live-in student staff members of Finley Hall include resident assistants, a Community Relations Facilitor, and an Academic Learning Assistant. Contact student staff members with questions about your building as well as for help with personal, social and academic needs, and general community issues.
The Area Director for Leadership and Community Development (ADL) is a professional staff member who lives on campus and supervises several resident directors. The ADL also advises Oregon State's Residence Hall Association and National Residence Hall Honorary, and can help students find campus leadership opportunities.
