Finley Hall can house approximately 350 residents on 6 floors. It hosts an ROTC residential community on the 7th floor, and general student housing on all other floors.
Finley Hall is home to the Adventure Living-Learning Community (one floor) and the ROTC Special Interest Community (one floor).
The Adventure LLC offers residents the opportunity to establish friendships and explore the landscapes of Oregon. Adventure leadership education provides awe-inspiring, transformative experiences to students each year. By attending a variety of courses and programs, including adventure trips, skills workshops, and social gatherings; students develop life-long leadership qualities in combination with environmental ethics and outdoor skills.
Members of the ALLC are expected to fulfill the following:
Reserve Officer Training Corps encourage its cadets and midshipmen to live in Finley Hall on the south side of OSU’s campus.
This community is designed for students who would like to live with other ROTC students who maintain the same rigorous ROTC schedule. Finley Hall is also conveniently located near several ROTC campus facilities.
New students are welcome to revisit and update building preferences in the online housing application at any time. UHDS also encourages new students to communicate with potential roommates about the change before new student room selection. Students can check the important application dates or their MyUHDS to determine their exact day for room selection.
Starting Fall 2017, each hall will have a mix of gender-specific and non-gendered bathrooms.
