Living on campus at Oregon State can be a great option for graduate students who want the convenience of residence hall living and proximity to campus academic buildings and resources.

Live in community with students in their second year and above

Graduate students at Oregon State may live with other graduate students, post-baccalaureate or non-degree seeking students, or transfer students in one of our residence hall communities set aside for those who are beyond their first year of college. Other communities on campus, such as those built around common interests, or those aligned with academic programs, may be available upon request.

Convenience and amenities

Living on campus puts you within walking distance of academic buildings and campus resources, so you can stay focused on your studies and other on-campus opportunities. Additional advantages of living in our residence halls include:

  • On-site laundry, streaming movies and television, and high-speed wired and wireless internet connections are included in your room rate. All rooms come furnished.
  • One bill covers all expenses, and there are no security deposits or credit checks needed.
  • There's no penalty if you choose to move out for an OSU-sponsored or affiliated academic opportunity.
  • Resident-zone parking is available for students who choose to bring a car to campus.

Enjoy campus dining

Whether you choose to live on or off campus, Oregon State dining welcomes you. From cafes serving locally roasted coffee to restaurants offering fresh, house-made meals, there is plenty of selection across campus. You can even have your food delivered to you by robot!

As an on-campus resident, you'll sign up for a dining plan to use at UHDS-operated locations, including Cascadia Market, our on-campus grocery store. When you spend from your dining plan, you'll receive a 20-percent discount at micro-restaurants in the dining centers and a 10-percent discount at other UHDS restaurants, cafes and markets. Explore UHDS locations and menus.

In addition, all students can take advantage of OSU's Orange Cash program. Use the Orange Cash account on your OSU ID card to pay at campus dining locations and get a 10-percent discount on your purchases. Orange Cash is also accepted at locations that don't take UHDS dining plans.
